2. General information

Protecting your personal data is important to us.

We process personal data exclusively within the applicable statutory provisions, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Personal data means information that can directly or indirectly identify a natural person.

Processing takes place in particular to provide our website, manage user accounts, provide GoalPulse features and process paid Premium subscriptions.

3. Hosting and server logs

GoalPulse is hosted by AVA Hosting.

When you visit our website, the following information may be processed automatically:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of access
  • Pages and files accessed
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Technical connection information

This data is used for the technical provision, security and stability of our website.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Our legitimate interest is the secure and uninterrupted operation of the platform.

4. Signing in through Twitch

GoalPulse allows users to sign in through the streaming service Twitch.

Depending on the permissions granted, the following data may be processed when signing in:

  • Twitch username
  • Twitch user ID
  • Twitch profile picture
  • Channel information
  • Technical authorisation data

This information is used to authenticate users, manage user accounts and provide GoalPulse features.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Sign-in takes place through the authentication provided by Twitch.

5. User accounts

A user account is required to use certain features.

The following information may be stored as part of account management:

  • Twitch user ID
  • Twitch username
  • Language settings
  • Selected football competitions
  • Individual overlay settings
  • Chatbot configuration
  • Premium status
  • Subscription start and end dates

Processing takes place to perform the contract for use of the service pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

6. Payment processing through Stripe

We use the payment service provider Stripe for paid Premium subscriptions.

The following data may be processed in particular during payment processing:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Billing information
  • Payment information
  • Transaction data
  • Subscription status
  • Payment and invoice history

Processing takes place to perform the contract pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and to comply with legal obligations pursuant to Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Stripe may also process personal data in countries outside the European Economic Area.

7. Twitch chatbot

GoalPulse provides features for automatically posting football information in Twitch chats.

The following data may be processed for this purpose:

  • Twitch channel ID
  • Twitch channel name
  • Chatbot activation status
  • Selected competitions
  • Technical events and error messages

Processing takes place to provide the features requested by the user pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

8. OBS overlay and sports data

GoalPulse allows football information to be displayed through an OBS overlay.

User settings and information about selected competitions are processed for this purpose.

The sports data displayed may originate from external data providers.

Personal settings are processed to the extent necessary to provide the features.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

9. Cookies and local storage

GoalPulse may use technically necessary cookies or comparable storage technologies.

These may be necessary in particular to:

  • Keep users signed in
  • Manage sessions
  • Store language settings
  • Provide technical security features

Where storing or accessing information is strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by the user, this takes place on the basis of Section 25(2) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).

For non-essential storage and access operations, consent is obtained where required by law.

Subsequent processing of personal data is governed by the relevant provisions of the GDPR.

10. Retention period and account deletion

Personal data is generally stored only for as long as necessary for the relevant processing purpose.

Users may request deletion of their user account or use the feature provided for this purpose.

After the account is deleted, personal data is removed unless statutory retention obligations or other lawful grounds for continued storage apply.

Payment and invoice records may be subject to statutory retention obligations.

11. Rights of data subjects

Subject to the statutory requirements, data subjects have the following rights:

  • Right to rectification pursuant to Article 16 GDPR
  • Right to erasure pursuant to Article 17 GDPR

Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.

12. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, manipulation and unauthorised access.

Data transmission between the browser and the website is generally encrypted using HTTPS.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy if changes to our services, data processing or legal requirements make this necessary.

The version published on our website at the relevant time applies.
